Aerated treatment for a higher standard
EconoTreat is an aerated advanced secondary treatment system. Air is introduced into the treatment chamber so the biological process can break wastewater down further than a septic tank and soakage trench will on its own.
It is the option we look at when the site cannot rely on primary treatment alone, whether that is because of soil conditions, groundwater, the size of the available land application area, or the standard the consent sets.

A single-blower system, configured to the site
The range uses a single blower to drive aeration, which keeps the mechanical side of the system simple and gives one clear service point. The configuration itself is chosen around the property, its expected daily flow, and where treated water will be applied to land.
Both plastic and concrete tank options exist across the range. Which one suits depends on access for delivery and placement, ground conditions, and how the tank will be installed.

After treatment
Treated water is directed to an approved land application area. The treatment plant and that disposal field are designed together, because the standard of treatment and the way water is returned to the ground depend on each other.

What Drainage Systems does
We are an approved WaterFlow installer for the greater Waikato, South Auckland, and the Coromandel. We assess the site, compare EconoTreat against the other treatment options, then complete the council design. Once consent is granted we supply, install, and commission the system.
